Choices Women’s Gala Is an Inspiring Success

The ballroom at Congregation Ohev Shalom was packed with more than 100 prominent Jewish women (and a few good men) for the recent Choices Women’s Gala to support Shalom Orlando. Attendees came together with a spirit of community and philanthropy to deepen their connection to each other and to Judaism in Central Florida. The elegant evening began with appetizers and cocktails before everyone settled in for a scrumptious buffet dinner and decadent desserts.

The highlight of the event was the presentation of the L’dor V’dor Philanthropy Award to Samra Gotlib in recognition of her incredible support of Jewish education and more here in Central Florida.

“This gift, to me, is the Nobel Prize!” Samra beamed during her remarks. “I will treasure this.”

The crowd also heard from best-selling author, actress, and activist Annabelle Gurwitch about her journey as a Jewish mom, community leader, cancer survivor, and advocate. It was a powerful and uplifting evening which set the bar high for Choices 2027!
