Celebrating Israel Independence Day

This year’s Dr. Bernard (z”l) and Samra Gotlib Yom Ha’atzmaut Festival was a shining example of community and collaboration, once again.

Because Shalom Orlando’s parking lot was under construction, Congregation Ohev Shalom offered to host this spring’s festivities. The fun-filled day was also sponsored by the Israeli American Council, Jewish National Fund-USA, and the Jewish Chamber of Commerce.

Hundreds of Israel supporters enjoyed children’s activities, kosher food, musical performances by students from Gotlib Jewish Academy, shopping, and wonderful camaraderie. Mark your calendars for next year’s event, to be held on May 16, 2027.
