Focus on Huneycutt Family Practice

Over the past year, Huneycutt Family Practice in Altamonte Springs has continued to grow, adding new services while staying focused on thoughtful, highly personalized care.
“I am always trying to make improvements and offer more services for my patients,” says Britney Huneycutt, D.O., founder of the practice.
Recent additions include cosmetic services such as Botox and specialty injections for hair regrowth – complementing the comprehensive care already offered.
Dr. Huneycutt also has admitting privileges at AdventHealth and performs many services in her office that don’t require a referral to a specialist, including women’s care, injections, biopsies, and osteopathic manipulation.
A defining feature of the practice remains the Healing and Empowerment to Achieve a Long and Thriving life through Holistic medicine (HEALTH) membership, a concierge-style model designed to give patients more access and shorter wait times with their physician. It includes telemedicine visits and private communication through a secure app, allowing patients to ask questions and receive guidance without always needing an in-office appointment.
Dr. Huneycutt says that this easy access recently made a meaningful difference for one of her patients.
“A young man needed to be admitted to the hospital for worsening liver disease,” she says. “He messaged me through our app, and I was able to speak with him quickly and arrange for him to be admitted to the hospital, without having to wait in the emergency room. I managed his care throughout the hospitalization, ensuring he was comfortable and well cared for.”
Dr. Huneycutt remains closely connected to the Jewish community, continuing her work as a volunteer medical director for Shalom Orlando and providing health talks for children at Gotlib Jewish Academy. She is also a sponsor of Jewish Pavilion Senior Services.
Her practice reflects that same sense of care and community. Dr. Huneycutt works alongside her mother, nurse practitioner Sandra McCollough, and a small staff she describes as “a wonderful group of caring women.”
Dr. Huneycutt’s advice to families is simple: “I recommend patients take their health into their own hands. Visit the doctor often, ask questions, and make a plan for your future.”
