Prepare for LatkePalooza!

Mark your calendars for a new family tradition – the inaugural LatkePalooza. This deliciously fun event is being sponsored by The Pargh Foundation and presented by Southwest Orlando Jewish Congregation (SOJC) and the Sabag family.

As part of Rosen JCC’s community-wide Hanukkah celebration on December 6, SOJC members will be frying up latkes from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Get a taste of a longtime Pargh tradition, as the cooks will be using the family’s own special recipe. Now, the Southwest Orlando Jewish community will get to see just how amazing these latkes are.

The idea behind LatkePalooza began last year, when SOJC members Sandy and Danny Sabag organized a small celebration using their own funds. When the gathering turned into a much larger celebration than they expected, the Sabags and SOJC’s Rabbi Shai Specht-Sandler realized this was going to become a new community tradition.

“My goal is to help make LatkePalooza a beloved part of Orlando’s Hanukkah celebrations – something that brings people together while allowing them to experience the warmth, joy, and energy of SOJC,” says Sandy. “Rabbi Shai inspires us to think creatively about how we can welcome and connect our community, and The Pargh Foundation’s extraordinary generosity gives us the opportunity to turn that vision into something truly special.”
